I've been scraping event data and here's some partial stats. There have been 564 events approved. There are about 125 different gaming systems run by 139 different GMs (roughly). Those lists are only partial. I took roughly the top 20 for each. If there was others with the same # of events at the 20 slot I included all of those in the list. http://gizmomathboy.com/ gary/gygax
Here is a csv file all of the events I scraped as of 2016-01-08. https://www.dropbox.com/s/c11eopmmhgl9lfj/gary-con-events-2016-01-08.csv
Jon, it's rather simple stuff actually. Just using tools and apps that others have already created and made the job stupid simple. That reminds me, I need to see if any events were added since yesterday.
No real changes, just some shuffling around and such. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6uu4rm2n6uftffu/gary-con-events-2016-01-11.csv
Jon, this is me being stupid. A plot of time and the (rough) number of seats available to play in (taking max number of players from each event, if it has it).
Just a reminder, all of the stuff I'm posting is neither complete nor official, just me grabbing what info there is and twisting it to my will and whim.
Thank you for doing the gathering and presenting of the data. Of course we won't hold it against you!
I don't mind bitching about that web app. That's on me if it's fucked up, but I've also warned it that it might fuck up.
Do you mean... 11% of the games have Pathfinder Society as the DM. 17% of RPG's are 3e, 5e, or Pathfinder. ?
I forget (and the forum history is likely gone) but did we top 1000 last year? We could do the math...we even have a "mathboy" here...
