Hey folks, I have yet to attend GaryCon and would like to this year. I'm used to GenCon, do hotels sell out fast? Is it easy to get to from the airport? Seemed like it was about 40 miles. Hotel will sell out. Go ahead and reserve now (it's free, no deposit and you can cancel up to 72 hours before). As for cab vs car vs taxi: This service guestimates ~$165 each way for a taxi, including 15% tip, for the hour-long ride. Ouch! My first preference would be to rent a car (with GPS, the drive is easy), but if I couldn't and also couldn't ride with a friend, I would try arrange flights around the shuttle that Gary Con and the Lodge provide. I think it was $15 each way last year? I can't remember the exact times, but I don't remember them being unreasonable.
