Does anyone happen to know the cost of a bidding card this year for the charity auction? Thanks

I haven't gone to the auction in a few years, but there was never a cost in the past to bid.

I did not attend last year, but two years ago I had to pay something - can't remember if it was $10 or $20 - to get a bidding number.

No kidding? That must've been the first year I missed.

Haven't gone since it was moved to mid-afternoon. Use to be no charge.

I recall Jim Kitchen taking over as auctioneer. Not sure Jim has a garycon email address.

Ask Caroline question. Will pm the email.

I think it was $5 2-3 yrs ago. Didn't go last year.

yeah, there is a cost for the last 2 if not 3 years. and limited seating. Swinehurst holds about 70 or so.

That's probably why they instituted a cost.

If you ever wonder why I sometimes wax nostalgic for the early days, here is yet another symptom....

I haven't been since we moved to the new place...

Last year, seating wasn't too bad. The year before that was brutal with a line extending out the door seemingly to infinity.

It's not well represented in the spreadsheet. I've never been able to find it with a casual search.

It's doesn't have tickets, so you won't find it there.

This year we are trying something new! The auction will be in the lobby area to allow more people to bid. As I recall cards are $5. It will be at 3pm to 6pm and will lead right into the TSR Reunion party.

Heaven help anybody who has to go from one end of the resort to the other, for a 4pm game, and has to pass through the lobby.

Yes in the sunken area in the lobby bar. The swinghurst was too tight for the crowd.

I have an item to donate to the auction. And a few Frazetta puzzles for the silent auction, if that is still going on. Who do I get in touch with to give those to?
