A wonderful 3 days in honor of Gary... Good to see old friends and meet a lot of people - thx to Treebore, Morty, Sir Osis (Gerry), Rigon (Chuck), Steve & Tim the Trolls (as always!), Jeff Talanian (Ghul) and Ian, John Adams (Coleston) and tacojohn, Luke & the Gygax family, Jim Ward, Frank Mentzer, Brian (GreyWolf), good to meet so many (Druvas, Bloodymage, Emperor Xan, Grodog and many others) - it was a truly great event of gaming!
Agreed, had a great time. I really like putting faces with names and actually gaming with guys I've talked to online so much. Can't wait until next year. When's The Keeper's countdown start?
Tons of boardgames Loads of junk food Mucho excellente choices of RPGs Gallons of caffeine Many gallons of New Glarus craft brews Excellent amount of online forum peeps Near perfect liters of superior distilled spirits D&D C&C Jousting (Chainmail rules) Chariot racing Le Mans sports car racing F.I.T.S./Dawn Patrol (WWI airplane combat in the skies) et. al. Giant congrats to Luke, Dale, Chris, James, Gene and everyone else (sorry if I can't recall all the names) involved with the setup and organization. Fantastic event!!
What a great time. Thanks to Luke, Dale, and all the other organizers for putting together such a great even in the honor and memory of a great man. Good friends, good gaming, and good beer makes for a great 3 days, indeed.
Incredible weekend! This con gets better every year. My thanks to all the organizers, volunteers and GMs.
Was an excellent convention. A true gaming convention. For about 400 people in attendance, it was not crowded. Worked out great having the open gaming in the resteraunt. Lots more room was created from last yr. Plenty of events. Can't wait till next yr.
We do indeed have the dates. We will provide the details soon. Gary Con IV: This is going to be good.
Things that were better than last year: 1- More space 2- More games 3- Earlier start = more time to game in 4- Dwarven Forge's contribution of the Terrain Challenge stuff that was super fun to play with 5- A pretty lady in a belly-dancing costume came and sold me a magic cup that was filled with delicious Spotted Cow right then and there as I DMed the above Things that weren't as good as last year: 6- I threw in the towel with the Walking Wet at 2:30 on Saturday, instead of pushing on to 5 am like at GCII. I might blame #6 on #3, but I don't want you to start later just so I get more sleep. Instead, next year I want a pretty lady dressed like a succubus to come by and pump me full of speed while I DM. Just kidding; I genuinely can't think of anything that'd make it better, although I bet y'all will because you always have found a way to keep improving so far. Keep up the great work!
