I did the same yesterday and saw nothing. Someone posted on FB about getting one on Wednesday IIRC. You can buy multiple badges for yourself and, if I'm not mistaken, two silver badges approximately equals one gold badge in terms of value and the silver is half the price of gold, so just buy silver badges if you just need more coins.
