Game cancellation - Twisting Stair Dungeon and Tomb of Offig

Hey everybody - For anyone that signed up for this (and I hate to do this) but I have to cancel. I've sent messages through the TableTop events messaging system, but am blasting it out here also in case those emails aren't seen. I'm not on FB.

The true extent of the danger presented by the Corona virus isn't really known, but in the past week the certainty of disruption in our family's lives if someone catches any flu-like illness after traveling has increased as my employment has instituted mandatory procedures for re-entering work in such circumstances.

So even if we came and just caught a bad case of the con crud that goes around every year, we couldn't just stay home and get better - since it came after flying/traveling, we'd have to incur medical expense/due diligence that those symptoms didn't represent a risk to other co-workers, and deal with all the related life disruptions while that resolved itself.

That changes the equation for my family in going to the con. I hate to do this and wish I could have made this decision earlier, but I'm notifying everyone as quickly as I can.

I hope that everyone on this list can grab another game. I've only missed one other GC since I started going in 2013, and presuming I can go next year I'll run off-grid games of Twisting Stair /Tomb of Offig that anyone effected by this is free to join. If that's something that might interest you, let me know.

I was in your Tomb of Offig game. Don't worry at all about cancelling. Keeping your family safe is more important than any game. I would definitely be interested in doing it next year if possible.

Shouldn’t these games eventually be designated as canceled on the TTE site?

 

I can't revise the events as far as I can tell. I looked for some sort of button I could push. Sending out the messages through the TTE system (and here) was the only way I could see to get notice to people.

I'm fine with cross-posting this to FB as well, if someone wants to get this out in the GC community there.

The two games that we have had canceled on us so far aren’t designated as canceled on TTE yet either, so I hope this will all get sorted eventually.

I am just trying to alleviate any more confusion on this matter before things get worse. Because it is definitely looking like it will.

 

Last time I brute force went through the listing 20 or so events showed cancelled. However the csv file still listed the available seats with none take for those events.

 

I found 32 tagged as cancelled in my data drag net.

 

Can you share a list of the event IDs for those?
