No you are not. It's about gaming, friends, and remembering the man that had a profound effect upon our lives. If someone wanted to play tiddly winks at the gathering, why discourage that? Game on, and see you in March.
I'll reserve the right to accept or decline event submissions on a case by case basis. But the goal is to gather, have fun and remember a great man. So if the game isn't horribly offensive or in poor taste and folks are interesting in playing it, I suspect it will earn a space at Gary Con II. I prefer the old school games, but I am not a curmudgeon about it.
If I can swing the time off, be happy to run Traveller from Mongoose. Have to see if I can nail down the free time before event submission closes. In a space rpg, only the people at the table can hear you scream..... ~Rex, The Black Hand. Mongoose Infantry.
Yes, there will be a Boot Hill tournament led by Red Wizard and the DGS Check out the earlier posts on his thread
Submitted 2 events from the C&C Society - an adventure called "A Dungeon For All Who Dare" which takes the original DMG sample dungeon map and restocks it for a tribute C&C dungeon crawl, and a C&C game for Casey Christofferson's Haunted Highlands setting called "A Toast in Memory of Ye Dead!" Paid pre-reg on con for myself and wife, and will make reservations tomorrow for rooms! See all of you there! John "Sir Seskis" Wright
Things are lining up nicely for Gary Con II. A big thanks to all that are pitching in to help make it happen.
Seriously! One GaryCon a year isn't enough. Or maybe it is. I, myself, would love it if we could get a fall Con going, too. But I'm a local, and I understand that those folks further away need to budget their travel and lodging expenses.
I agree, but there's always the Spring & Fall Hooplas for us local folk. As well as, the monthly Mini-Hooplas. Keeps Mama & I pretty busy, though a second Gary Con would be nice. Did I mention, only 104 days 'til Gary Con 2.
w00t! I suspect it will still be a bit chilly so I will make sure to have some pants on. I'm looking forward to some old school goodness too!
