Just let me know when you want to run (one game or more than one) , title, short description and number of players. I will be building the event catalogue soon. And i welcome some good board games and miniatures events too

I know of a younger fellow that's in love with War Hammmer 40K. Want me to touch base with him?

Sure. The more the merrier! I would prefer tractics or chainmail or Napoleonics- but if I have the space available and someone wants to share their favorite game - why not?

I wish one of the old guard would run Star Frontiers. I have not played that in 20+ years.

    But that's me. ;)

I'm not one of the old guard, but if nobody else wants to run a Star Frontiers game, I will. Back in the 80's we played that almost as much as D&D. :)

I just sent a PM to Luke, but it's not like it's top secret info:

I'd like to run four events for Gary Con II.

3 events that will feature my forthcoming S&S RPG called Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea. This game is presently in play-test and going to print later in 2009 or early 2010. I am dedicating the game in fond memory to my friend and mentor, E. Gary Gygax. I will run these events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then, I would also like to run a special Castle Zagyg: The Upper Works dungeon crawl, which I co-authored with Gary. I'd like to run this event on Saturday night. Anyway, these are the events I hope to run.

    Cheers,
    Jeff T.

Fantastic Jeff! I want to do the CZ dungeon crawl- but I have a standing challenge from last year in the Circus Maximus :? I am sure this will be a hot event and on the Virtual Porch - if I can figure out a way to do the VP.

What means this "Virtual Porch?" (n00b)
It immediately conjured images of your dad's porch and all the good times I've heard associated with it.
(Though sadly I never got to experience it - or him - personally)
((Though I certainly experienced a lot of him through his TSR-era games!!))

I'd suggest setting a cutoff date for those of us who got - uh - cutoff last year, then open the remaining spots for pre-reg. Or, maybe only allot 6 slots for those returning. Something like that. And, uh, DIBS!

For my part, I'm putting together a "living dungeon", which I'll run quarterly for friends, and run at conventions, namely GenCon and GaryCon, plus any others I may attend. The initial delve will happen Aug 1, followed by another at GenCon. I'll have the dungeon, and a pile of pre-gens on hand on GaryCon. Rules are basically AD&D with simplified casting times (spell goes off right now or next round), no Psi, no weapon vs. armor, etc.... I don't imagine anybody except my friends from the previous GC and LGGCs would sign up, so I'll leave it as a pickup game for now.

Boardgame-wise, I'll bring Fire and Axe, Gary's "Alexander" (Avalon Hill version), and maybe the Mayfair edition of Cosmic Encounter.

Droool......Man, I'd love to play CZ. Man, that would be awesome. Keep up the good work, Jeff, and look forward to seeing you next year.

Alright, AD&D pre-gen "An Original Gary Memorial" at least once at the hall maybe later in my room and I'll be open for early play as I don't care (As long as I get something to eat first! ;) ).

That sounds kick ass cool! Maybe this year I'll get the chance to play in a game or two. I'm going to try crash one of Mentzer's games as I got shafted last year.

But, I'll probably be at the door checkin' yer badges. :p

Speaking of FOOD, :D I hope someone has warned the lodge about gamers & their appetites. It's like, when I get hungry I'll eat anything in sight; pretzels, chips, roadkill, BADGE CHECKERS, anything!!!

    Howdy Luke,

    Here is my tentative schedule:

Fri. Mor. (9am-3pm) Chain. The Battle for the Brown Hills
Fri. Eve. (6pm-12pm) AD&D1 The Lost Crypts of the Fire Opal (start)
Sat. Mor. (9am-3pm) Chain. The Battle for the Moathouse
Sat. Eve. (6pm-12pm) Orig. Siege of Bodenburg
Sun. Mor. (9am-1pm) AD&D1 The Lost Crypts of the Fire Opal (finish)

You are invited to play in any of them but I'd especially like to invite you to play in the The Battle for the Moathouse, since Otis (Ranger Superhero) is the commander for the Viscounty of Verbobonc forces.

    Futures Bright,

    Paul J. Stormberrg
