Looks like another game has been tentatively added to the DGS line-up. TSR's, The Adventures of Indiana Jones.

Hi Red, Do you folks, (D.G.S.), only play rpgs, or does the group play any strategy games?

Hi Keeper, I know we enjoy boardgames though I am not aware of any we will be bringing. Not to say we wont though. :)

Just wonderin'. On early posts I had suggested "Divine Right", for GC 2, but couldn't really find any takers.

I've been playing Star Frontiers since it came out and have a couple of modules I have run at conventions. One is a SF adaptation of the Keep on the Borderlands - with the Keep a small colonial outpost of the Truane's Star government on Volturnus, post Sathar War I. Had a lot of fun with that one - designed it for four hours, plays in about six once you throw in crazy player antics.

If someone were to get Zeb Cook to run a game, that'd be pretty darn cool. In the remote chance someone managed to get both Zeb Cook and Lawrence Schick, it would be a religious experience ; )

I'd be up for some Zeb Cook ran SF!

As a member of the DGS (Dead Games Society), I will add that, YES! We will be playing a board game:

John Carter Warlord of Mars (SPI 1979).

We haven't decided on all the RPGs we will be running--we will likely have 6-8 members there running games.

TOO COOL!!!! Haven't see John Carter, WoM, in decades. Can't wait to meet up with your crew, being the 'ancient' gamer that I am. By the way, welcome to the forums, :D, & if you're ever in the neighborhood stop in at one of the Hooplas. Great group of people & we're only about an hours' travel time from Chi-town.

Will there be some sort of schedule compiled if we're considering running an event?

Yes. Luke is working on this, but right now he is off on a much deserved family vacation. Once he returns expect that he'll be back into the thick of things with organizing and planning.

Oh excellent news that he's having a family vacation. :) I hope he has a great time.

Looks like our schedule of games will include at least the following:

M will run Indiana Jones & Star Frontiers

I will be running a Classic D&D adventure (Mentzer Rules), a Cthulhu by Gaslight adventure, John Carter Warlord of Mars, and maybe a Pendragon adventure (Chaosium--3rd edition).

Red Wizard hasn't told me what he wants to run yet.

Right now, my contributions will include a Boot Hill 2nd Edition adventure, a Top Secret cold war 1950's era adventure, and either a Gamma World adventure or a Gangbusters one, not sure on this last choice yet.

    My vote is for Gangbusters!

I'll be able to run some events, as well. I have a combat miniatures game that I ran at GaryCon I, also having run a bunch of slots at GenCon and locally for gamedays, plus the RPG built on that engine will be ready by GaryCon II for play. Should be lots of fun! :)

Welcome to the forums. Were you at Garycon I both days? I just can't seem to remember any mini's going on?! Might be my 'part-timers' kickin' in.

Just Saturday, sadly. These pics were taken that day -

I'm in #3 and #32 begins some pics of the minis games being run in the front of the building late in the evening.

btw, which hotel is walking distance from the GaryCon II site?

They have a block of rooms reserved at the convention site. If that's too costly I can suggest some up here in Elkhorn, WI., but, there's really nothing within walking distance that inexpensive.

We may have differing ideas on "expensive" ;) but, regardless, is the info on the block of rooms available? I did prereg but maybe I missed that info somewhere?
