Here's a little video of the start of Frank Mentzer's first running of the Palace of the Vampire Queen game at Gary Con I: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0Iw-VOn4iE. It's brief, you can't hear much over the background noise and nothing terribly exciting happens, but if you couldn't make it to GCI, at least you can get a little glimpse into the con. I'll try to do better next year (couldn't find my camera's power cable...doh).

And I stumbled across this "promo video" for GCII: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNGM1dfg7cU. Love the kid's enthusiasm, but I find it hard to believe he's really 29.

The video blog for Gary Con II was pretty good. It's all about spreading & sharing the love of Gary.

Of course, I look damn sexy in those photos. ;)

I've posted some videos of GaryCon II on YouTube. I have some interviews with Bill Cousino, Gary Gygax's son-in-law, as well as some Hackmaster games ran by Dave Kenzer.

If the videos are not available right away, just wait a little while for them to finish processing.

    You can find them at:

Certainly a better way to show up on YouTube than having your child nail you in the junk with a wiffleball bat. :)

Auction video #2 can be found here...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqiOf79SyiQ

...and, as I probably should've just done to begin with, find the future videos here: http://www.youtube.com/jasonmcook . (I'm still figuring out YouTube.)

Auction video #3 (the last) and an extras video featuring a bluegrass band that played at the hotel Friday night still to come, so check the above link for those, tomorrow.

Oh, and I subscribed to Spaartuk TV. Why isn't it named Spaartuk TV?

That's great that you got the Bluegrass band. I thought it was hilarious that we drove all the way up from Tennessee yet we found some bluegrass waiting for us!

Some very amateurish videos of Paul and Kevin's Battle for the Brown Hills game on Friday can be downloaded from http://drop.io/chainmailGaryCon2a# and http://drop.io/chainmailGaryCon2b#.

The best moment caught on film here was when our wizard of Chaos had just summoned a fire elemental on the same round that a bunch of Law's elves had laboriously snuck across the board, hidden by their elven cloaks, and revealed themselves to attack - right at the same moment the elemental appeared in their midst!

If you liked the videos on YouTube, please be sure to rate them. I'm trying to rate the ones I've seen as well. It's a good way to get the videos viewed by more people and they also turn up more quickly if you do a search for them.

    FWIW,
