For those of you looking for something different... I'm running a series of WEGS Old Skool Fantasy events again and can fit a couple of Hirelings and Henchmen into each session. H&H are basically low level heroes there to "help" the party (you get some of the glory and all of the pain). If this sounds like your kind of fun... "But... I don't know this WEGS system at all!" Here's how easy it is to be a sell-sword and hired bowstring. You declare your class: Warrior or Ranger. You start with a mini and five poker chips. This makes you a Level 5 Hero. Everything about you is "5" or "55". You have 55 Hit Points. You have 55% Armour Class. You have a 55% chance to hit something with your sword or arrow. When you hit, you do 5 x d6 damage. You move 5 Squares per action. And you don't need a character sheet. "That's pretty darn easy, so far." You will also get three skill cards; you can use 1 every action: +20% to hit (used to increase your chance to hit to 75%) + 4 Strength (used to increase your damage to 9 x d6) -20% AC (used to decrease foe's AC roll) If this sounds like your kind of fun (and you're a-ok with your lack of a chance to survive), the next post will detail where you can find the WEGS Old Skool sessions (a few of these have seats remaining if you want to join in as a full-blown character). If this sounds tremendously fun, the WEGS Old Skool rulebook can be purchased at the Black Blade Publishing booth at Gary Con!
