Indeed! I went to the final Milwaukee & first Indy Gen Cons-- something was lacking. Oh, yeah... personal interaction! Not like the old Gen Cons!! That's why I went to doing just LGGC and GaryCon 1--lots more fun and "old school" goodness! I'll be back... ^__^
You better be there! You are 20 minutes away from Lake Geneva. Maybe we'll hoist a brew at the Next Door Pub again as a pre-GC warm up
Hearty Hops for me! I was pissed that the keg was Spotted Cow last year. I specifically ordered Hearty Hops- Grrrrr! This year I won't be able to do dollar beer at the con. But I will have to host something in the suite and perhaps arrange a van shuttle downtown. No drinking and driving
I'll be sitting at a table, in the darkest corner, sipping my MGD, observing. :| (People just call me, Fizban.)
Yes. There will be beer available- don't panic! The Lodge has a restaurant and bar area, but I imagine the prices are not the same as Gary Con I- no 75 cent nachos and two dollar burgers. I don't believe the hotel will have a problem with drinking your beer in the game area. I will have to double check to be 100% on that.
Yeah, definitely - no drinking and driving. I'm sure officer Doogie Howser's just ITCHIN for another crack at me! Agreed. 'Course with the hype from Luke, wouldn't mind some of that Hearty Hops either. Or hell - some Blue Moon - had it over at Ernie's our last day of GC1. (/fun) Ya just don't see any of that hereabouts ...
No worries, there will be more folks this year to come rescue you. Or at least make a Run to the Border for ya!
Hey Mike, Looks like there is a decent size contingent from the Northeast coming to Gary Con. DnDgeek and Sir Jon from CT and Tavis from NYC- and I believe there are atleast 4 gamers from VA. So maybe there can be carpooling or something if transport is a concern.
