Dead At 85 A Student Of Kubert's Remembers Comic book characters may die and be reborn with ridiculous frequency, but when the true comic heroes--the writers and artists--pass on, they don't come back. And they are dearly missed. Few will be missed more, I think, than Joe Kubert. Not only were his artistc contributions legendary (no one did war comics better than he did) but he passed his knowledge and experience to many other through his art school. Legions of artists, now and to come, owe him a debt that can never be repaid. Thanks to Mr. Kubert for sharing his talent with us and helping to shape future generations of artists. He will, of course, be dearly missed.
