RIP Bob Anderson His page at IMDB There was a time when movie stars learned fencing as a matter of course; nowadays it seems like they learn firearms and martial arts, and then only if the role requires it. Now one of the last exemplars of that era has passed away, but not after leaving a lasting contribution to both movies, TV (he was also the sword-master on the Highlander series) and real-life swordfighting. The post title may sound a bit hyperbolic, but if there was a greater swordsman than he, I don't know who that person is. Until advised otherwise, I prefer to think that he was the greatest. Rest You Well, Sir.
RIP. Craftsman & masters of any art are becoming a rarity in this era where "good enough" and "looks good" are the goals of the masses.
