I forgot how much I enjoyed his work. I met him at a Con in Memphis years back and he was a great guy. We met while outside in the "smoking section" and had a great conversation. It wasn't until we were halfway into it that I found out he was an artist and then he told me his name. I knew it sounded familiar and then another person walked by and mentioned all the great dragons Lockwood had drawn. It was then that I realized what he'd drawn. Awesome stuff.
Also like a good deal of Gerald Brom's stuff. Because I found his website's Gallery section pretty lacking, here's a Google images search result url: http://www.google.com/search?q=gerald+b ... 80&bih=603 One of my favorite versions Drizzt Do'Urden (which there were several versions by other artists I overtly DISliked) ever - if not THE fave - was done by him: http://www.bromart.com/prints/Print2.htm
