GaryCon XI: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly (Feedback)

It's 2019.

I can pay for stuff in the vendor hall with my credit card, swiped via a $6 reader on a Smartphone! There's no excuse for the hotel to not be able to run a card right at the table for food service.

 

I have attended a convention that used a coinage system for onsite food purchases. At best it was an annoying hassle and at worse it was a bit of a disaster. If Gary con chooses to employ a coinage system for the table side service, I will most likely not use the table side service. The Grand really needs to invest in some card readers like the vendors use and simply charge each purchase at the table. I kind of doubt they will as they seem to pride themselves on not wanting to modernize as much as possible.
