"As part of Operation Dagger during the 4th Succession War, the Free Worlds League had sent a strike force centered around the 5th Regulan Hussars and the 25th Marik Militia to Wyatt to destroy the 11th Lyran Guards and 17th Arcturan Guards garrisoning that world. The Lyrans however, had been tipped off on the attack and were able to retreat from the system before the Marik forces were able to trap them. In the evacuation, the last to attempt their departure was the Roark planetary ruling family. By the time their Fortress class dropship boosted for space, the 5th Regulan Hussars had already made planetfall. The dropship was intercepted by Marik aerospace assets and forced down, crash landing in the desert canyons of Wyatt. Efforts were immediately begun to prepare the shuttle on board for launch so that the Baron and his family could still escape, however, time was an enemy. A Union class dropship carrying a 5th Regulan Hussars BattleMech Lance was already on its way to capture the noble family. The 11th Lyran Guards Lance providing security on board the Fortress disembarked its ‘Mechs to engage their foe and buy time for the Roarks. Would their sacrifice be enough?"
