Hi, I live in Miami, Florida and I will be attending your very good and fine convention. However, since it is only winter for about 3 weeks out of the year I was wanting to ask some questions. I have never been to Florida and my wife Mrs. Ravager has never been either. So I was just wondering what the weather is like? Should we dress warmly? What should we check out when we want to do something other than game (translation, where is the chesse)? Are there any gaming stores in the area? Thank you.
A Wisconsin/area native can tell you more, but this should tell you a lot: http://www.weather.com/weather/wxclimat ... raph/53147 The summary: cold, snow still on the ground is possible. Avg High/Low is 45/26. I'll be dressing in blue jeans and t-shirts, and bringing a hooded sweatshirt or flannel shirt to toss in bookbag in case it is chilly in the gaming area. Likewise, I'll be tossing in at least one pair of cargo shorts in case it is really warm in the gaming area. Regardless, I'll be wearing a heavy coat when heading out for meals. I'm from Indiana, so I'll do fine. You might have a tougher time than me, however.
A Floridian will consider it cold, I'm sure. Also, I'm not sure it stopped raining at any point during the weekend in 09. The cheese is here: http://www.marscheese.com/map.asp?id=10 ... 2912968945 Unless of course, someone moves it http://www.amazon.com/Who-Moved-My-Chee ... 740&sr=8-1 This is a more useful starting point http://www.lakegenevawi.com/ In peak, Lake Geneva is very pretty, with beach, boats, shops, and B&Bs - however, in March, the first 2-3 aren't much fun.
Hi Rizgard, Wisconsin native here, matter of fact I live near Lake Geneva. Let's see if I can answer some of your questions; Weather is always a possiblitiy here. The saying up here goes, "If you don't like the weather, give it five minutes & it will change." Your best bet would be to check out the weather forecast on MSN.com before you leave. Click on 'weather' & enter the zip code for Lake Geneva, which is 53147. If your looking for cheese Lake Geneva does have a store called The Cheese Box. It's a great little place with all kinds of cheese & sausage. YUM!! Sorry, but no gaming stores in the area, but downtown is a window shoppers haven. It has numerous small store & shops in the center of town. Very quaint, & provides a good stretch of the legs. Any other questions please feel free to ask, or just PM me here on the forums. The Keeper
So....You're saying Bermuda shorts would be just fine? *hoping, hoping* Or, it's comfortable enough to form Ice-V?
