I'm a sucker for: Fire and Axe: A Viking Saga Cosmic Encounter And generally, any games involving vehicles and killing the hell out of each other, including, but not limited to: Car Wars Battle Tech Circus Maximus Circus Imperium Wooden Ships and Iron Men Pirates of the Spanish Main Full Thrust Crimson Skies Blue Max/Canvas Eagles And goofy games: anything by Wham Munchkin (original and Cthulhu) Ben Hurt Fluxx I'm also a fan of Double Deck Pinochle.
I finally got a couple of players to check it out: Tom Wham and Dave Conant. I almost got Frank, but he needed to stretch or something. Beyond the fact that it seems to be on the complex side, I couldn't tell you if they liked it or not. At this point in the process, I think it's more the presentation (e.g. the way I explain the game) more than the game itself being the problem. My experience with other people has been once they get it, they really get it and that's when the smack talking really begins.
